January 27, 2010 : BBFO 2010 : Introduction


Well, it's time for the next trip. From Thursday 01-28-10 to Tuesday 02-02-10 a group of us will ride out to the Big Bend Country of TeXas.

I have done this trip in January for more than twenty straight years. I tend to loose count but I think this is the 24th year. The group is usually small, but once in a decade or so, the group grows a bit. This year there are approximately 16 of us going. Some for the first time. I bet it's going to be fun.

One thing you can expect on this trip is COLD weather. It's not a possibility, but a fact. The mornings will usually start in the 20 degree range and it might hit the upper 50s or into the low 60s by lunch.

We are leaving and returning on two different days. For the most part the retired folks are leaving on Thursday, and the working stiffs are leaving on Friday. Friday night we will meet in Sanderson, TeXas. Most will be returning on Monday, but us unemployed folks will return on Tuesday.

We all will be on bikes of all different makes and models. I am looking forward to some great riding.

I should have internet each night, so I will try to post a blog daily. For those not in the know, BBFO stands for Big Bend Freeze Out.
