There is not really much to write about today. We were up at the normal time, and decided to eat breakfast at a cafe located across the street from the motel. I think the name of the place is the "Country Cafe". The guy really went out on a limb when he named the place. The food was good, and a short time later we were on our way to Omaha.
After arriving in Omaha we did family stuff where we visited my Grandmother's grave site and did a short tour of where my mother was raised. We went by her old house, and is was sad to see it in such a run down condition. Once we were finished with the tour down memory lane, we headed south on US Highway 75.
We now have finished what we wanted to accomplish on this trip. Now we are some 800 miles from my mother's home in Tennessee, and about all we have to look forward to is a bunch of corn fields. Well, I guess we got a bit side tracked, because we ended up heading back by going this way;
Can't say the view was any better, but it at least was in a different direction. We ended up stopping for the night in Independence, MO. Tomorrow we plan on heading back by cutting across Missouri using mostly the byways. It appears we will be back in Tennessee on Tuesday, but who knows.
