I arrived in Bensalem, PA on Thursday night and checked into the hotel.
The reason I am in Bensalem is to attend a get together of some friends of mine who all play the same internet game as I do. The game is called Aces High and it is an interactive flight game, where players from all over the world play.
I happen to be a member of a squad, and some of us have been playing the game together for many years. About two months ago we decided to have a summit, and it just so happens to have been planed during my trip to the northeast.
12 of us attended and we spent most of the evening setting up our computers and getting everything sorted out. We were surprised the hotel's internet was able to provide the service we needed to play the game. We had a bit of lagging, but overall it worked fairly well.
It was great to met some of the folks that I have been playing the game with for years. I held out until midnight, but I had to go to bed. I found out the next day most everyone one else stayed up playing till around 3:00 AM.
Saturday we all had breakfast together, and then is was to the conference room to continue playing. That was pretty much it until around 4:00 PM where we took a break and headed downtown Philly to grab a Gino's or Pat's cheese steak.
These two places are famous for their cheese steaks, and they are located across the street from each other. I sampled both, and my vote goes to Gino's.
We returned back to the hotel where we continued playing until I gave up the ghost again at midnight. I found out Sunday morning that the rest continued playing until two or three AM again.
Sunday, we again had breakfast together, but instead of playing we had to tear the systems down and all head out. I got out of there around 10 AM and ended up taking a wrong turn and later found myself heading into New York City.
Oops, turned around, got it together, and eventually found myself heading into Baltimore. Oops again, got turned around and eventually ended up for the night in Chambersburg, PA.
I did run into a few traffic hazards along the way.
I don't know if they were going somewhere or coming from somewhere, but I must have seen a hundred of these Amish rigs on the road. I kind of think they may have been out for a Sunday afternoon ride.
Tomorrow I head back to Liz's aunt's house and the we will head back towards Alabama on Tuesday. I won't have internet tomorrow, so it may be Tuesday before my next post.
