This day started like yesterday, except we decided to go to a different restaurant to eat breakfast. Doug found a place named the Wagon Wheel, which is located in Danbridge.
We arrived at the restaurant around 7:00, and of course, I had to have eggs and country ham.
We left the restaurant around 8, and headed for Highway 209. This is the sign that greeted us.
I snapped a couple of picture as we were riding, though it was tough since most of the road was very curvy.
I saw this old barn, and thought it would make for a great picture.
Sometimes trying to figure out where to go can get a bit confusing.
Some more pictures while we were riding 209.
We eventually made it to Ashville, and then onto Maggie Valley, where we visited the Wheels Over Time motorcycle museum. We stayed there for a couple of hours, and then decided to head back to the motel via Interstate 40.
On the way back we decided to eat lunch in Newport. Well, while turning into the parking lot of the restaurant Dick had a little mishap. It appears he didn't see a car, and they decided to get to know each other. After a conversation with Newport finest, all information was exchanged and we were able to have lunch.
The lady actually hit Dick's ugly trailer, which I guess made it more ugly, but really there was so little damage, and the trailer is so ugly, we really couldn't tell where she hit it. She received some minor damage to here front bumper.
After lunch we headed back to the motel where we called it a night. We had pizza delivered for dinner.
Tomorrow the group splits up again. Dick and I will head back to Clarksville via Kentucky, while Doug and Dan head toward Virginia.
