We were all up before daylight, and after stepping outside we quickly determined it was a bit chilly. We decided to eat breakfast at the Dairy Queen located next door to the motel. I elected to have ham and eggs, and surprisingly it was pretty good.
Now to compare breakfast's, this is what Dick ordered. I have no idea what he did to it, but it started as biscuits and gravy.
Today was planned to be a fairly short ride because Doug has to be in Indianapolis by noon for a wedding he has to attend. Dan planed to stay with Doug, while Dick and I took a more roundabout way. Our plan was to stay in a motel near Indianapolis and meet up with Doug and Dan in the morning.
The ride today was not as scenic as the last couple of days. Indiana has surprised me with their scenic roads. I thought this state would be a bit on the lame side as far as riding is, but we all have been pleasantly surprised. Here are a few pictures from today's ride.
We made our way over to the east side of Indianapolis and decided to stop in Harmony, IN for lunch. I had a roast beef with cheese and side salad. It might have been pretty good if they wouldn't have dumped all that cheese on it.
After lunch we made out way to Avon, IN which is located just outside of Indianapolis. We decided to have dinner at a Mexican restaurant located across the street from our motel.
Tomorrow we meet back up with Doug and Dan in the morning and we will the start the slow way back to Houston.
