The Spring Fever 2011 trip is on. The cast incudes Dick, Bill, Chuck and myself. The day started with me meeting Bill at our local Chevron Station at 6 AM. A friend of ours, Dan decided to ride with us to breakfast before turning around and heading home. Our plan today was pretty simple. We plan to meet Chuck and Dick in Bastrop, Texas, have breakfast and then head north, northwest to Midland where we plan to call it a day.
We did meet up with the other two at the Texas Grill in Bastrop. Guess what I had for breakfast.
Thats right, Ham and EGGS.
The route was simple. We plan on taking Highway 71 north through Austin, to Brady where we will pick up Highway 87 towards Big Spring. Before Big Spring we will turn west on FM 158 and head into Midland.
The scenery is nothing to scream about. It is typical West Texas scrub land. We took a couple of breaks and had lunch in San Angelo. It will be a couple of days before we get to the scenic stuff.

Tomorrow we plan to make it to Alamogordo, NM.
